Sober Work ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through soberwork.org and how we use it.
Information We Collect
When you fill out an intake form, prep questionnaire, or job lead form on this site, we collect what you provide directly — your name, phone number, email, and the other details asked on that form (skills, availability, and similar information relevant to matching you with work).
How We Use It
We use this information to evaluate your application, schedule and conduct interviews, match you with job opportunities, and follow up with you about those opportunities by phone, text, or email.
SMS / Text Messaging
If you provide a phone number, you may receive text messages from Sober Work about job opportunities, interview scheduling, and related follow-up.
- We do not sell, share, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is used only for Sober Work's own communications with you, with one narrow exception described below under "Sharing With Employer Partners" — which is a direct job-placement disclosure at your request, never a marketing or promotional use.
- Message frequency varies depending on your activity with us — typically a few messages around intake, scheduling, and any active job opportunities.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages, or HELP for help.
Sharing With Employer Partners
This is the one, narrow exception to the no-sharing commitment above, and it is not a marketing or promotional disclosure: if you're approved for a specific job opportunity and you've separately consented to it (during your interview or intake), we share your name, phone number, email, and relevant skills directly with that specific employer partner — for example, a seasonal crew employer — solely so they can contact you about that job. We do not share sensitive details from your interview (such as recovery status or health information) with employers, and we never sell or provide your phone number or messaging consent data to marketers, advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as it's useful for matching you with opportunities, or until you ask us to remove it.
Your Choices
You can ask us to stop contacting you, or to delete your information, at any time by replying to any message from us or emailing jason@ncsisonline.com.
